Joshua Cheng – Podiatrist in East Fremantle & Carlisle
Josh Cheng has returned to us from the UK after spending the last four years working as the podiatrist for an elite medical sporting clinic in Manchester where he treated superstars from Manchester City, was part of the team that provided the medical services for Wigan Warrior
Rugby League (premiers in 09/10 and winners of Challenge Cup in 2011) as well as looking after Olympic runners.Josh’s special interest is biomechanical analysis and correction using orthotic therapy, joint mobilisation, trigger point therapy and strengthening the muscles of the feet to achieve rapid relief and lasting results from foot and ankle pain.
Kira Dunstall – Podiatrist in Carlisle, Rivervale & Wembley
Kira completed her podiatry degree at the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor in Podiatric Medicine. Kira has had experience in the treatment of general nail care, ingrown nails, diabetic foot care, as well as biomechanical problems and stress related injuries.
Having over 5 years experience working with athletic and casual footwear, Kira is also particularly keen on the importance of footwear in correction of common podiatry conditions. Kira is a bubbly and friendly Podiatrist who is dedicated to helping you becoming pain free.
Kevin Widjaja – Podiatrist in Rivervale & Cannington
Kevin enjoys seeing many patients with a variety of conditions including: foot, ankle and knee pain, ingrown nails, corns and calluses and also diabetic foot assessments. Kevin is experienced in orthotic therapy, dry needling and taping. Kevin has also treated patients at the podiatry departments of Royal Perth, Sir Charles Gairdner and Fremantle Hospitals dealing with the high risk foot, treating patients with diabetes and circulation problems.
Kevin enjoys the biomechanical aspect-observing a patient’s foot type, joint range of motion, muscle movements and gait analysis to determine the cause of pain. Kevin would love to help you!
Jugat Kaur – Podiatrist in Rivervale & Wembley
Jugat completed her degree in Podiatry at the University of Western Australia.
Jugat has a range of experiences in many areas including; ingrown nails, fungal infections, corns and calluses, warts and foot and ankle pain. Jugat’s interests in Podiatry are in biomechanics and sporting injuries. Jugat provides comprehensive Diabetic foot assessments and arthritic conditions, as she loves fixing feet. Jugat would love to help you get back to doing the things you love pain free.
Jo-Anne Manning – Podiatrist in Jandakot
Jo graduated from Curtin University in 1996. She spent the beginning of her career working in aged care gaining valuable skills in helping patients with age related foot conditions like: tough toenails, hard to reach toenails, corns and calluses on the feet and patients with high care needs such as those with diabetes and arthritis.
Jo is particularly interested in caring for high risk clients, providing footwear education, gait analysis and the prescription of foot orthoses, sports injuries and general treatment to resolve painful nails or hard skin. In other words she loves to fix feet!
Christine McCallum – Podiatrist in Jandakot & Cannington
Christine graduated from Curtin University in 2003. She has many years of experience in services where she has treated nail conditions, pain management, seniors skin and preventative foot health care.
Christine understands how the foot works with the body both structurally and functionally and with her knowledge helps patients with a wide range of treatment options suited best to their needs.
Christine’s passion lies in helping people. Along with her Podiatry degree, Christine has completed 2 other certificates in sports therapy and massage that allows her to help her patients to get back to the things they love doing pain-free!
Liz Edwards – Podiatrist in Cannington & East Fremantle
Liz completed her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree at the University of Western Australia. She graduated with Distinction and was awarded several prizes for academic and clinical practice excellence during her studies.
Liz loves high risk feet and managing patients with diabetes, peripheral vascular disease and other chronic medical problems. Whilst she has had experience in ulcer and wound management, Liz enjoys working in a Primary Health setting where she can aid in the prevention of more serious foot issues.
She is also interested in all things skin and nails related, including fungal infections, warts, corns and callouses, and ingrown toenails. Liz takes pride in her careful attention to detail, and gets great job satisfaction from making people feel better about their feet!
Christian Pocklington – Podiatrist in East Fremantle
Christian graduated from the University of Western Australia with a Bachelor of Podiatric Medicine. Christian enjoys the challenge of fixing and providing people with solutions to their foot pain. Over the course of his career as a Podiatrist, Christian has found a special interest in Podiatric surgery.
Christian is always striving to expand his academic knowledge. He holds a surgical registrar position with The University of Western Australia and is currently completing a clinical doctorate in order to gain specialist registration as a podiatric surgeon.
Christian is dedicated to providing a service with compassion and diligence, and looks forward to your next appointment with him.
Grace Hughes – Podiatrist in Balcatta, Mirrabooka & Scarborough
Grace has comprehensive clinical experience with high risk feet. During her time as a Podiatrist she has built her skills in the treatment for problematic feet and likes the challenge of helping fix ingrowing toe nails, fungal infections and diabetic care of the feet.
Grace‘s love in Podiatry lies in exercise and sports injury rehabilitation. Using a range of techniques such as dry needling, bio-mechanical assessments and taping, Grace would love to help you resolve your exercise and sports injuries.
Kylie Gates – Podiatrist in Mirrabooka, Wembley & Scarborough
Kylie has been an active member of the Advisory Committee for Medicare in the management of diabetes in the community, as well as presented and commented on case studies with leading health professionals in complex case management for people living with diabetes.
Kylie’s favourite Podiatry interests include ingrown toenails – surgical and non surgical approaches, routine podiatry, orthotics and sports podiatry.
Kylie is a former representative of state netball teams and was a state champion swimmer, beach sprinter and surf lifesaver. In her spare time she enjoys travelling and she still likes to play and coach netball and spend time with her daughter, Keira.
Kylie has a dedicated and loyal base of patients, providing them with high quality Podiatry and genuine compassion.
Shane Toohey – Podiatrist in Mount Hawthorn
Shane has been a practising podiatrist for 35 years and a certified acupuncturist for 25 years, during which time he has been combining his podiatric and acupuncture skills. Shane also lectured part-time in undergraduate podiatry courses in orthotic therapy. More recently he has also presented lectures and workshops in acupuncture for podiatry students at UWA, Galway University and Huddersfdield University. For several years, he was team podiatrist for the Australian A League Football team, the Perth Glory. For the past 5 years Shane has been the sports therapist for an elite under-age AFL football team and WA State Minor Gaelic Football sole therapist for last two Australasian Carnivals. Association with sporting teams always involves providing hands on treatment at training sessions and games.
It has been my mission to unravel the most effective acupuncture treatments for conditions commonly being presented to Podiatrists and pass this on to my profession. These were never self evident from the training I received. They have the capacity to make a profound difference to clinical outcomes
